By charter we have a maximum of 30 startups incubating in our accelerator. The 2016 portfolio class has 26 regenerative medtech startups and 4 regenerative economy.
All but one of our current 2016 portfolio class of startups come out of inventions or innovative platforms developed in Leonhardt Ventures laboratories.
23 of our 26 regenerative medtech portfolio startups are all based on the same patented platform technology of (1) bioelectric stimulation controlled stem cell homing, protein expression and differentiation combined when needed with (2) a patented micro infusion pump that delivers repeatedly a (3) proprietary fifteen component stem cell based organ regeneration composition. The different startups are the same basic platform technology simply applied and adapted to different organs ie; EyeCell for eye regeneration, CerebraCell for brain regeneration.
Our business model is to focus on…
1. Patents.
2. Gathering supporting data up to 100 patients or in the case of regenerative economy 10,000 users.
3. Gathering opinion leader support endorsements via investment in educational showcases.
4. Gaining positive press and applicable scientific, social good impact and financial community support.
When our regenerative medtech startups get data on 20 to 100 patients we then seek to secure a strategic partner or to auction off the technology. When our regenerative economy startups have over 10,000 viewers or users we seek to find a strategic partner or auction them off. By charter all startups in our accelerator go to Dutch auction on their 5th anniversary regardless of progress level. If any asset is sold or licensed the proceeds are immediately disbursed to shareholders upon close.

Leonhardt Ventures since the early 1980’s has been patenting, developing and bringing to market life saving medical products http://leonhardtventures.com/about-us/. In the 1980’s they patented and led the world in predictably compliant cardiovascular balloon catheters. In the 1990’s the team captured world leadership in the development of stent grafts for repairing aortic aneurysms without surgery, developed one of the first percutaneous heart valves, patented one of the first biological pacemakers, stem cell, intravascular lung and electro magnetic radiation delivery catheters. In the 2000’s the team completed the historic first in man stem cell repair of a human heart and and went on to develop an entire organ regeneration technology platform.
